Personal Branding
How do you want to be known?
Corporate brands go through very intentional design processes. They build trust with consumers through consistent images, communications, and behaviors that align with the values they embrace. They establish strict guidelines to control how their company and products are presented in order to control the perceptions of their consumers.
Personal brands are built the same way. When you consistently exceed expectations, you build a brand reputation for reliability. Once you've established that reputation, you must defend it by upholding the value of reliability. If you fail to make good on a promise, it is your reputation or brand that suffers.
This series delves into the four essential elements of brand building: self-knowledge, image, communication, and performance. Through these four areas, we will plot a path toward developing your brand in ways that are authentic to you, reflective of your values, and an asset as you work toward achieving your goals.
